  • Difficulty breathing, severe respiratory distress, or choking
  • Severe bleeding, loss of consciousness, or head injuries
  • Severe allergic reactions (anaphylaxis)
  • Severe burns, fractures, or trauma
  • Poisoning or drug overdose
  • Severe abdominal pain or suspected appendicitis

1. Medical Disclaimer

1.1 Online Consultations

All consultations provided through Doccliniq are online consultations. They are conducted via video, voice, or chat and are not a substitute for in-person medical examinations.

Online consultations have inherent limitations:

  • No physical examination can be performed
  • Limited ability to assess vital signs directly
  • Dependency on patient-provided information
  • Technology limitations (internet connectivity, audio/video quality)
  • Potential for miscommunication

For comprehensive physical examinations, diagnostic tests, procedures, or conditions requiring direct physical contact, patients must consult with a local healthcare practitioner in person.

1.2 No Guarantee of Outcomes

Doccliniq does not guarantee:

  • Specific medical outcomes or treatment results
  • Complete accuracy of diagnoses
  • Effectiveness of prescribed treatments
  • Resolution of medical conditions
  • Prevention of complications

Medical outcomes depend on numerous factors including patient compliance, underlying conditions, individual responses to treatment, and follow-up care.

1.3 Doctor-Patient Relationship

Doccliniq is a technology platform that facilitates connections between healthcare professionals and patients. We do not:

  • Provide medical services, diagnosis, or treatment
  • Employ or directly supervise healthcare professionals
  • Control medical decisions made by Doctors
  • Guarantee the qualifications or expertise of Doctors beyond verification of licenses

The medical relationship exists directly between the Doctor and Patient. Medical decisions, diagnoses, and treatments are the sole responsibility of the treating Doctor.

2. Prescription Limitations

Prescriptions issued through Doccliniq are subject to:

  • Telemedicine Practice Guidelines 2020: Prescriptions must comply with guidelines issued by the Board of Governors, Medical Council of India
  • Schedule Restrictions: Certain medications (Schedule H, H1, X) may have restrictions on online prescription
  • Professional Judgment: Doctors may decline to prescribe certain medications based on online consultation limitations
  • Follow-up Requirements: Some conditions may require in-person consultation before prescription

Patients are responsible for:

  • Obtaining medications from licensed pharmacies
  • Following prescription instructions accurately
  • Reporting adverse reactions or side effects
  • Seeking immediate medical attention if conditions worsen

Doccliniq is not responsible for medication availability, pricing, quality, or adverse reactions.

3. Technology Limitations

Doccliniq's services depend on technology infrastructure that may be subject to:

  • Internet Connectivity: Requires stable internet connection; disruptions may affect consultation quality
  • Device Compatibility: Requires compatible devices and browsers
  • Third-Party Services: Relies on services like Daily.co (video/voice) and Stream Chat (messaging) which may experience outages
  • Technical Failures: Software bugs, server issues, or maintenance may temporarily disrupt services
  • Security Risks: While we implement security measures, no system is 100% secure

Doccliniq is not liable for consultation interruptions, data loss, or service unavailability due to technical issues beyond our reasonable control.

4. Information Accuracy

While we strive for accuracy, Doccliniq does not guarantee:

  • Completeness or accuracy of information on the Platform
  • Accuracy of Doctor profiles, qualifications, or availability
  • Timeliness of information updates
  • Absence of errors or omissions

Users are advised to verify critical information independently and not rely solely on Platform-provided information.

5. Third-Party Content and Links

The Platform may contain:

  • Links to external websites or resources
  • Third-party advertisements or sponsored content
  • User-generated content (reviews, comments)

Doccliniq:

  • Does not endorse or control third-party content
  • Is not responsible for external website content or practices
  • Does not guarantee accuracy of user-generated content
  • Reserves the right to moderate or remove inappropriate content

Accessing third-party links is at your own risk.

6. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

  • Doccliniq provides the Platform "as is" and "as available" without warranties
  • Doccliniq is not liable for medical decisions, treatments, or outcomes
  • Doccliniq is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Doccliniq's total liability shall not exceed the consultation fees paid in the 12 months preceding a claim
  • Doccliniq is not responsible for third-party service failures (Cashfree Payment Gateway, Daily.co, Stream Chat, etc.)

Medical decisions and their consequences are the sole responsibility of the treating Doctor and Patient. Doccliniq acts solely as a technology intermediary facilitating connections.

7. User Responsibilities

Users are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate and complete medical history and information
  • Ensuring stable internet connection and compatible devices
  • Following Doctor's advice and prescription instructions
  • Seeking in-person care when recommended by Doctors
  • Not using the Platform for emergencies
  • Maintaining confidentiality of account credentials
  • Complying with Platform terms and applicable laws

8. Regulatory Compliance

Doccliniq operates in compliance with:

  • Telemedicine Practice Guidelines 2020 (Board of Governors, MCI)
  • Information Technology Act, 2000 and IT Rules 2011
  • Indian Medical Council (Professional Conduct, Etiquette and Ethics) Regulations, 2002
  • Consumer Protection Act, 2019

However, regulations may change, and compliance is subject to interpretation. Users should be aware of applicable regulations and their rights.

9. No Medical Advice from Platform

Doccliniq does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. All medical advice comes from registered healthcare professionals during consultations. Information on the Platform (including FAQs, articles, or general information) is for informational purposes only and does not constitute medical advice.

10. Changes to Disclaimer

Doccliniq reserves the right to modify this Disclaimer at any time. Material changes will be notified via email or Platform notification. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Disclaimer.
